The Economics, Algorithms and Optimization team in Facebook Core Data Science brings together economists, computer scientists, operations researchers and scientists in related disciplines to advance the mission of the company. Our areas of focus include applied causal inference, optimization, stochastic modeling, and mechanism design. This invite-only workshop aims to surface our team's work in the areas of Algorithms and Optimization to a select group of external researchers and learn about the latest academic work. The discussion will be grouped into three themes: Bandits + Experimentation, Algorithmic Game Theory, and Discrete Algorithms. Session I - 9:20 AM - 10:50 AM PDT - Bandits + Experimentation Session II - 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM PDT - Algorithmic Game Theory Session III - 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM PDT - Discrete Algorithms Please register for the workshop through this event page and reach out to Jessie Birch or Stephanie Greer with any questions. As this workshop is intended for an invite-only small-group, we ask that you please do not share or forward this registration information to anyone. We look forward to seeing you at the virtual workshop!Wednesday, October 20th, 2021
